We've been getting asked where Ava is in relation to the earthquake. Fortunately for us, she is closer to Beijing which is about 1,000 miles away. Our agency is trying to check on all the orphanges and has promised to keep us informed. So far the orphanages they do know about are fine. It is so sad to see the devastation. If anything changes we will let everyone know. Thank you all for asking about Ava and keeping her in your prayers!!
We had our update visit for our home study from our social worker, Lauren, yesterday. Of course, we have MORE forms to fill out and have notarized and then send in to her. Hopefully, they will go to her Monday and then we wait until she updates the home study. It shouldn't take too long, but she does have to wait for "criminal" background checks on Frankie and Connor since they are over 14 and hoodlums. Other than that we wait and wait and wait and wait...
