We just received a little more information on Ava. She is now 2 ft. 2.8 in tall and weighs 16.75 lbs. I don't think that's too bad since she has a cleft palate and lip. Olivia was only 19 lbs when she was the same age, so Ava seems to be doing ok. She has 2 teeth and she sits on the floor without support and grasps toys and plays by herself very well. She rolls herself back and forth with a big smile and can push up on straight arms with her head up high. When she sees her caregiver, she will stretch her arms to her and bounce her feet. I like this one the best - When she feels happy, she will babble loudly and tunefully. She loves to be held to the caregivers chest and will make her a big smile (you gotta love translated chinese).
We sent a few questions about Ava and her condition and are still waiting for the answers to those. There is a chance she has had some surgery in China but we just don't know yet. Hopefully, we will hear more soon.
And the wait goes on...
