Olivia Graduated from Pre-school

Well, Olivia is officially going into Kindergarten this fall! What? No, no, no, say it isn't so. Yes, it is true, our baby is growing up faster than we want. She did really well during the graduation ceremony. Stood up and sat down like planned but didn't move or sing AT ALL for the performances that the kids did. That's our Olivia. She's just selective.

The graduation was held in the auditorium of the high school and was very good. Afterwards, there was a reception in the library and the culinary arts class provided most of the food. Frankie is in culinary arts so we got to see her too. The food was very good too.

We got to meet Olivia's "buddy" teacher, Elisabeth. She a junior this year and even though she helped Olivia all year, Olivia has never spoken to her. I've spoken to the school teacher, Mrs. Strickler, who says Olivia will only speak if it comes about almost accidentally, and she will not speak if asked a direct question. Funny, we can't get her to be quiet. We tried very hard to get her to speak to Elisabeth, but to no avail. It's troubling but we know it will pass with age. Elisabeth at least got to hear her talk a lot to us. She made a scrap book for Olivia about her year in Kiddie Hawks which is a fantastic memento of her time in preschool.

There were 3 Olivia's in her class (one was spelled Alivia though) and we tried to get the girls together for a picture. That's Olivia with one of the other Olivia's and she decided not to cooperate, but what came out was her gangsta side.
