We got released from the hospital today at about noon. Ava had a rough night, but by this morning was making a rapid recovery and looking much better. We were seeing firsthand the miracle of the healing powers of the young body.
After taking a long nap once we got home, she wanted to eat something substantial. She is all through with syringe feeding and yogurt and drinking PediaSure. Unfortunately, that is all that she can have for the foreseeable future. The rest of us have taken to eating out of sight of Ava as it seems very cruel to eat in front of her.
So far all seems to be good with the procedure. We do not have any bleeding and the tylenol with codeine seems to be doing the trick to ease the pain.
Hopefully, she sleeps all the way through the night tonight.
