We are taking Ava for a sedated hearing test today. It's a bigger deal than I thought. She will be under anethesia and it takes a little over an hour. We'll be at Georgetown University Hospital all day. I'm worried that she'll be very scared since the last 2 times she was under, she woke up in severe pain and that is all she knows. She shouldn't wake up in pain this time but she doesn't know that. Also her fragile sleep pattern may be interrupted again (she's still having trouble sleeping through the night) so we may have more sleepless nights. On the positive side, this should help us find out how severe and what kind of hearing loss she has. Send good thoughts her way please...gotta go, more later...
